Nature-friendly and ethically produced

The main idea is to share my respect and admiration for nature through the choice of fabrics and the way to create these unique pieces.

For Blumma, being sustainable means reducing the environmental impact from the creation of the labels, packaging, fabrics used and the manufacturing of the products.

When I create the pieces, the first thing I think about is respecting our values in every part of the process and that every part involved share them.

Pieces are designed and created in my studio. They are produced in limited quantities and many of them on demand at the time the customer makes the purchase.

Other pieces such as swimsuits are made by local family factories in Barcelona supporting the local brand.

Being nature-friendly is my main value and that is why I choose fabrics that adhere to that principle.

Bamboo Jersey

I choose bamboo fabric to create our lingerie pieces because it is sustainable and 100% biodegradable. The plantations do not require pesticides, do not practically have natural prey. Moreover, they do not grow bamboo excessively and require little amounts of water to grow.

It is also hypoallergenic, it is a natural temperature regulator and blocks UV rays naturally, up to a 98%.

Silk

I use silk fabric to create some pieces of soft lingerie. Silk is hypoallergenic, strong, resistant and elastic by nature. It is also a natural temperature regulator. It is the perfect fabric for those people who have a sensitive skin and allergies to polyester.

Regenerated Nylon

The swimwear that we create are made with recycled plastic threads.

In order to protect marine flora and fauna, this fabric is made of recycled plastics taken from the depths of the sea and with irregular raw materials that were thrown out.

For each kg of fiber produced, one kg of plastic is removed from the ocean: 40% in water consumption, 50% of energy and 60% in CO2 emissions are saved.

Dead stock

As dead stock comes from the overproduction of big brands in the fashion industry, for us it is a sustainable alternative to reuse these textiles to create new pieces of clothes.
