Keep your hobby alive •

Keeping our hobby alive is important for our quality of life since it connects us to that moment of thinking only about the here and now. It gives us a space where we are open to be creative and escape from those problems that we carry on a daily basis. Sewing is one of those hobbies in which if we manage to establish good habits and take mistakes as the best way to learn, it will allow us to feel more confident enjoying that time that we give ourselves.

The creator

The person behind this project is Julia Camoletto. She is graduated from LCI in Barcelona and specialized in Industrial Pattern Making and Sizing of Corsetery and Swimwear and Elastic Sportwear.

"As a child, I remember the moment when my grandmother and I went to buy fabrics to make the dress that we had previously designed together. I remember the box of pins, the tangled threads, the centimeter with the numbers almost erased.

The colors, the textures and the possibility of being the one to choose my own garment gave me a lot of self-confidence.

That feeling will always remain in my memories. Little by little, I began to sew my own clothes, to participate in workshops, to dedicate more time to my hobby until the day I decided to study it.

As a result of this, Blumma was born, filling my heart with happiness."

Blooming lingerie workshops

Start sewing and designing your own lingerie together with Blumma. In these workshops you can create lingerie pieces by your style by choosing between different lace, elastics and accessories.

What are we going to do:

  • Talk about different stitches and types of knitting.

  • Practice the stretching technique used in underwear and swimwear

  • Learn how to cut and sew lace fabric.

  • Share experiences, talk about sewing habits so it will be easier for you to sew at home keeping your hobby alive.

At the end of the workshop you will have your lingerie piece by you and you will bring with you many tips that will make you feel more secure when you are going to sew your next project.

Duration: 3 hours 

Required level: You don't need much experience, but you must be able to use a sewing machine.

Lace bra workshop

In this workshop you will create a cute and soft lace bra by following your measurements sharing a space of creativity where you can choose between different types of lace, elastics and accessories with all materials included. This bra is perfect if you want to fell comfy and beautiful with yourself.

Panty Workshop

In this workshop you will sew a cute and comfy panty by choosing the size according to your body.

You are your own designer so you can choose between a high panty, a basic panty or a panty with lace on the back.

The elastics, the fabric , laces and accessories are included and you can choose between different ones.

It is a perfect workshop if you don't have much experience and you want start sewing lingerie that will make you feel comfy with yourself.

FAQs

  • A basic level, meaning that you have ever sewn with a sewing machine. In the workshop you will receive advice that will help you sew and improve not only lingerie but also your daily life.

  • If you have never sewn before, it is not possible to do this workshop. You must have sewn at least once with a sewing machine.

  • In the "panty workshop" you have to bring the fabric yourself, but the elastics and lace are included.

    In the "Lace bra workshop" all the materials are included: elastic lace, straps, elastics, accessories.

  • The panty workshop is less precise, so it may be the best to start using lingerie sewing techniques.

  • Depending on the language the participants speak, it may be Norwegian or English. You can also speak in Spanish and Italian

  • It is possible to have private workshops. It is also popssible to have it at home or for companies that want to generate a creative space for their workers.
